Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Executive - Sales with 3 to 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have strong sales experience within the logistics or freight forwarding industry and will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients and managing existing customer accounts.

As a Freight Forwarding Executive - Sales, you will play a key role in building strong relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs, and offering customized freight forwarding solutions. You will work closely with both the sales and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of freight forwarding services.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Identify new business opportunities and clients within the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
    • Generate leads, conduct cold calling, and schedule meetings with potential clients to introduce company services.
    • Negotiate rates and service agreements with clients, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
    • Maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and close sales deals to meet monthly and quarterly sales goals.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and increase customer retention.
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their queries, providing solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Regularly follow up with clients to ensure they are satisfied with the service, and propose additional services where appropriate.
  • Service Offerings and Customization:
    • Analyze client requirements and provide tailored freight forwarding solutions to meet their unique needs.
    • Work with the operations team to ensure seamless coordination in handling clients' freight forwarding requirements.
    • Stay informed on industry trends, shipping regulations, and emerging technologies to provide the most up-to-date solutions to clients.
  • Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to identify potential growth areas and emerging market trends within the freight forwarding industry.
    • Monitor competitor activities and industry pricing to ensure competitiveness and develop strategies to counteract competitor offerings.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and revenue generation in CRM tools or sales databases.
    • Prepare and present weekly and monthly sales reports to management, outlining sales performance, opportunities, and challenges.
    • Ensure all sales documentation is accurate and up to date, including contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing proposals.
  • Collaboration with Operations:
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and logistics departments, to ensure smooth execution of freight forwarding services.
    • Ensure timely delivery and optimal service levels for clients by coordinating with operations teams and addressing any issues promptly.
