Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Pricing Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in pricing strategy and management, ideally within a fast-paced industry. This role will be responsible for supporting pricing strategies, analyzing market data, and ensuring competitive pricing models to optimize business profitability and drive revenue growth.

As an Assistant Pricing Manager, you will work closely with the pricing team, sales, and other departments to provide pricing recommendations and analysis, and to ensure that all pricing models align with company objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Pricing Strategy Support:
    • Assist in the development and implementation of pricing strategies across various product lines and services.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to recommend optimal pricing structures.
    • Ensure that the pricing strategies are aligned with the companys overall business objectives and profitability goals.
  • Price Analysis and Reporting:
    • Conduct in-depth pricing analysis, including cost analysis, margin evaluation, and competitive benchmarking.
    • Prepare detailed reports on pricing performance and recommend adjustments based on data insights.
    • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on pricing trends, sales performance, and market conditions.
  • Price Modeling and Optimization:
    • Develop and maintain pricing models to simulate the impact of different pricing strategies on profitability and revenue.
    • Continuously monitor and adjust pricing models to optimize sales and profitability.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to implement effective promotional pricing strategies.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure pricing models are in line with customer expectations and market demands.
    • Support the finance department in pricing reviews and assist in the financial forecasting process.
    • Collaborate with product management and supply chain teams to ensure that pricing reflects product availability, cost fluctuations, and market conditions.
  • Pricing Governance and Compliance:
    • Ensure pricing strategies and models comply with company policies and industry regulations.
    • Review and track any pricing discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Maintain accurate pricing data and ensure all pricing information is consistent across platforms.
  • Market Intelligence:
    • Monitor competitor pricing and market conditions to identify potential opportunities and threats.
    • Assist in conducting competitive pricing audits and suggest improvements where necessary.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact pricing decisions.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, tools, and systems.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of pricing-related training for internal stakeholders.
    • Work on automation and streamlining pricing processes to reduce errors and improve efficiency.

Key Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., in pricing strategy or financial analysis) is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or related roles, with a focus on pricing strategy and management.
    • Experience in a fast-paced industry, such as [Logistics, Retail, FMCG, Technology, etc.], is highly desirable.
    • Hands-on experience with pricing software or data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a good understanding of pricing models and profit margin analysis.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex data and insights in a clear and actionable manner.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skills.
    • Experience in using pricing and financial modeling software is a plus.
    • Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
