Senior Associate - Venture Builder (6-6 yrs)

About the Role:

We are hiring for a Senior Associate to work closely with our team to run intensive research for internal thesis building. You will focus on partnering with pre-motivated entrepreneurs, evaluating new deals, building deeper market knowledge and conducting extensive research across multiple domains. You actively hunt for new opportunities for incubation.

You will work with our portfolio founders, who are starting their entrepreneurial journey. Your contribution will directly impact the growth of our venture builds and help in assisting the journey of the portfolio founders.

Responsibilities:

- Deal Flow and Thesis Building:

o Analysis of market and technology trends for building internal thesis for new ventures

o Research, identify, and source new deal flows

o Due diligence on new investments including market research, competitive analysis, and financial modelling

o Preparing presentations and investment memos for investment

- Operations at Portfolio Companies:

o Support start-ups in setting up robust financial reporting systems and processes, and all legal and regulatory compliances

o Provide guidance on crafting compelling narratives, and prepare investor-ready decks and financial models

o Connect founders with relevant investors

o Develop and execute GTM strategies to meet founder's growth objectives

o Build and implement sales playbooks, including pipeline management, and deal closure strategies

o Advise on recruiting top talent for critical roles and onboarding them effectively

Key Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- An analytical and problem solving candidate that can handle evolving situations

- Can work on ideating new ideas

- Have a good acumen with presentations, excel, content, and social media

- You can network effectively and represent the firm within the ecosystem

Requirements:

- Work experience of 4+ years, with strong business understanding

- At least 2+ years of experience in a top-tier Consulting, IB, VC, PE or Corp Dev role

- Demonstrative background in market research/knowledge skills

- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

- Excellent ability to conduct a thorough market research exercise

- Familiar with the Internet and digital media ecosystems as businesses and evolving platforms, either from work experience or personal interest

- Passionate about technology and digital innovation

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a small team
