SBI-SG Global Securities is a joint venture between State Bank of India and Societe General. The purpose of this role is to provide technology vision and leadership for implementing and maintaining information technology initiatives that improve cost effectiveness and enable other functions within the company to execute the overall business strategy, resulting in business growth of the company. Also to initiate and drive an effective customer interface using IT for SBI SG.
A brief JD is mentioned below:
- Define an IT strategy to implement the business strategy and in line with industry practices
- Ensure minimum down time and smooth functioning for IT enabled functions in operations
- Identify projects to implement the IT strategy and define processes to implement the new technologies
- Liaise with the various departments to understand technology needs and identify and deliver solutions to meet their needs
- Drive the deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure for the company and ensure periodic maintenance and timely support for users
- Provide direction to manage and maintain appropriate business applications to manage the functioning of the business processes and the workflow
- Manage the company's relationship with key vendors for supply of hardware and software and ensure timeliness and quality of the application delivered
- Ensure the security and integrity of the operations environment by adopting information security policies for the company, ensuring implementation through various security devices and monitor compliance
- Plan for Business Continuity in case of system failure, in consultation with Risk and ensure data recovery plans are reviewed periodically
"People Management:
- Evaluate performance of team members, provide feedback on an ongoing basis, identify development needs and coach them to ensure ongoing capability development
- Manage and support recruitment and selection of staff for the department
Ensure clarity of individual roles and appropriate delegation of responsibility within team members in the department"
"General Management:
- Create department level objectives, goals and action plan for the year by cascading the organizational goals & objectives
- Coordinate audits for the department for various regulatory purposes and ensure compliance with all norms
- Formulate department budgets in conjunction with organizational budgets , track expenses and present reports on a regular basis to the management
