Area Sales Training Manager

Responsibility Area & Key Responsibilities

Training Planning and Delivery

- Conceptualize and deliver effective sales training program to ensure high performance sales achievements

- Impart strong technical and commercial knowledge in participants to help reduce mis-selling & generate profitable business and achieve topline sales targets

- Understand localized queries (technical in nature) of field staff to provide relevant solutions

- Plan and schedule the training in an efficient and effective manner across levels, relationships and geographies

- Coordinate with the team responsible for induction training to ensure effective induction of all employees of Bancassurance and other alliances

- Maintain and continually update training related data to publish MIS as requested by higher management and internal stakeholders

Content Development and New Initiatives

- Understand business strategy and direction to develop customized content for trainings

- Develop of localized content to cater to specific training requirements of sales teams

- Design and create content to address the needs and gaps identified and thus builds a robust training curriculum for all the channels in active collaboration with Content Development Manager

- Interact with clients, agents, broker, bankers to understand their requirements about product and identify training elements for creating required impact

- Identify new initiatives like cluster/territory sales training on specific requirements as per management needs

Training Effectiveness

- Measure training effectiveness with respect to agreed objectives on the basis of various parameters (pre/post training survey scores etc.)

- Incorporate feedback of participants to enhance the training contents and delivery

- Analyze sales performance, NPS to measure employee productivity and change in behavior

Self-Development

- Engage in self-upgradation of skills and knowledge to impart updated and best in class trainings to the teams

- Coordinate with local technical experts for knowledge enhancement and increase understanding of specific nuances

- Achieve certifications recognized by III (III Insurance Institute of India) to further increase self-knowledge

II. Additional Responsibilities Related to Information Security

• Comply with SBI Generals Information & Cyber security policy.
• Practice reasonable care to protect their organization provided assets and access credentials.
• Follow established Information & cyber security policy, incident reporting and escalation procedures.
• Protect SBI General data & information while working at and post separation.
