Regional Claims Manager - MACT & Consumer Litigation

Role & responsibilities

- Manage MACT and litigation claims in the region to ensure successful implementation of strategies & initiatives

- Ensure consistency and uniformity in processes across all the states to align in terms of strategy and planning

- Ensure active participation in National & Monthly Lok Adalats for conciliation of all genuine claims

- Drive measures to achieve productivity and optimum utilization of resources in region

- Identify frauds and initiate steps to curb the fraudulent elements

- Identify risk & report to corporate office in order to mitigate the impact on business

- Manage complaints/escalations to provide a proper & timely resolution

Ensure timely & proper compliance of court orders to avoid execution & adverse remarks from judiciary

- Monitor MACT claims operations to ensure prompt registration & reporting of appropriate claim reserves on our books

- Evaluate & technically assess court awards & conciliation proposals to arrive at a just compensation

- Ensure processing of claims in system strictly as per the awards/approvals from competent authority

- Meeting with advocates and judiciary officials to ensure effective settlement of cases

- Visit locations for conciliations during National Lok Adalats

- Obtain approvals of claims to ensure strict compliance with the awards/approvals from competent authority

- Conduct review of high value claims in order to take appropriate steps to minimize the impact

- Engage in empanelment and review of advocates to ensure quality in defending of claims
