Saxon - ETL Test Engineer - Power BI/SSRS (5-8 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. ETL Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL testing, excellent SQL skills, and experience validating stored procedures. Experience with BI reporting tools like Power BI and SSRS is essential. Familiarity with Azure Data Factory is a plus. This role requires working in a 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST shift.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes.

- Perform data validation and integrity testing to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

- Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data for testing purposes.

- Validate stored procedures and functions to ensure correct data processing.

- Analyze data discrepancies and identify root causes of data quality issues.

- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and provide feedback on data quality.

- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.

- Report testing progress and escalate issues to the project team.

- Work with BI reporting tools (Power BI and SSRS) to validate reports and dashboards.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies. (Good to have)

- Experience with Azure Data Factory for ETL testing.

Required Skills :

- 5+ years of experience in ETL testing.

- Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

- Experience in validating stored procedures and functions.

- Proficiency with BI reporting tools : Power BI and SSRS.

- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

- Experience with different testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Willingness to work in a 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST shift.
