Quality Assurance Test Engineer - Power BI (3-4 yrs)

Position : PowerBI Developer (QA Tester).

Location : Pune, MH.

- We are seeking a detail-oriented Power BI QA Tester to join our team.

- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of Power BI reporting, and a solid background in quality assurance processes.

- The QA Tester will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and performance of Power BI reports and dashboards while collaborating with developers, analysts, and stakeholders.

- Validate Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.

- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts specific to Power BI solutions.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on Power BI deliverables.

- Verify data sources, relationships, measures, and calculations (DAX) in Power BI models.

- Identify, document, and track bugs or defects using appropriate tools (e.g , Jira, Azure DevOps).

- Collaborate with developers and data analysts to understand reporting requirements and resolve issues.

- Test ETL processes and data pipelines feeding Power BI reports to ensure end-to-end accuracy.

- Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) in collaboration with stakeholders to validate results.

- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards in reporting.

- Provide feedback and recommendations for optimizing Power BI reports and improving QA processes.

Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in testing Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets.

- Strong understanding of SQL for data validation and analysis.

- Familiarity with DAX functions and Power Query.

- Experience with ETL processes and data pipelines.

- Working knowledge of tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or other defect management systems.

Experience :

- 3+ years of experience in QA testing, with at least 1-2 years focused on Power BI.

- Experience testing complex datasets and validating data from multiple sources.

- Knowledge of database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) for testing and data validation.
