Manager - Demand (3-4 yrs)

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Demand Manager to lead our demand planning and forecasting efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting:

- Develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales projections.

- Monitor and adjust forecasts to address changes in market conditions and customer needs.

Collaborative Planning:

- Work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align demand plans with business strategies.

- Facilitate communication between departments to ensure cohesive operational planning.

Inventory Optimization:

- Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to minimize excess stock or shortages.

- Develop strategies to optimize the balance between supply and demand.

Market Analysis:

- Conduct detailed analyses of market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to refine demand planning.

- Provide insights and reports to support strategic decision-making.

Process Improvement:

- Identify inefficiencies in the demand planning process and implement improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

- Leverage technology and tools to streamline demand management activities.

Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.

- Advanced certifications in demand planning or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPIM) are a plus.

Experience:

- 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or a related role.

- Proven track record of successful demand management and forecasting.

Skills and Competencies:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

- Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g, SAP APO, Oracle Demantra) and advanced Excel skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strategic thinking with a results-driven approach.

- Strong problem-solving skills to address demand-related challenges proactively.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in [specific industry, e.g., retail, manufacturing, FMCG, etc.
