Executive- Organic Chemistry

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Synthetic Organic Chemist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic synthesis and a passion for research and development. This role will involve designing and executing experiments, analysing results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct advanced organic chemistry research to support drug discovery and development.
• Design and execute reactions to synthesize target Molecules.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, including reaction setup, purification, and characterization of compounds.
• Reaction monitoring by TLC, Column Purification, Flash Chromatography etc.
• Analyse and interpret data using various analytical techniques (NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS etc.)
• Develop and optimize processes for scale-up synthesis.
• Handling of different laboratory chemicals, instruments & Equipments with safety.
• Literature search using different tools.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including analytical chemists, biologists, and product development scientists.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in synthetic methodologies and technologies.
• Present findings and contribute to scientific publications and patent applications.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all experimental procedures and results in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• M. Sc. in Organic Chemistry with 2-3 years experience in organic synthesis.
• Strong expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, including experience with various synthetic techniques and methodologies.
• Proficiency in analytical techniques such as Mass, NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS etc.
• Experience with reaction optimization and scale-up processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Organic/medicinal chemistry
• Familiarity with computational chemistry tools and software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced research environment.
