R&D Chemist/Associate Scientist/Organic Chemistry

Role & responsibilities

• Expertise in carrying out Multi-step synthesis of organic molecules from milligram to multi-gram scales and their characterization.
• Responsible for the development efficient synthetic process, which leads to better yields and quality of the product, with less cycle time and cost.
• Capturing proper learning of the project & would be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the project as per the IPR guidelines.
• Scaling up of process and technology transfer from lab to plant and trouble shooting at the time of scale up.
• Interpretation of analytical reports like HPLC, GC, NMR, LCMS, IR, GCMS.
• Capable of suggesting new ideas to synthetic routes and able to execute jobs within stipulated time frame.
• Identifying experimental problems and resolve them independently.
• Optimization of reaction time and temperature, raw material quantities, solvents and reagents replacements to improve yields and quality.
• Team building and to maintain the best inter - personal relations in the organization
• Optimization of Process: In terms of operation, time-cycle, achieving targeted quality, improving yields, reducing the cost and maximize throughput.
• Scale-up activities: Demonstration of lab process in pilot plant and production.
• Trouble shooting: During development of projects at both R&D and scale-up execution in Plant.
