Group Leader - R&D

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D, Group Leader with extensive experience in the Api industry. Individual will lead a team of chemists from R&D. Candidate should have experience in New Product Development, with experience in producing cost-effective, for the synthesis of reliable APIs and intermediates.
Education: PhD - Organic Chemistry with around 10-16 years of experience in API Companies.
Location: Hyderabad
Job Description:
1. To lead a team of chemists from R&D.
2. To develop and produce cost-effective, non-infringing, safe and eco-friendly technologies for the synthesis of reliable APIs and intermediates.
3. Creative capabilities in the areas of organic chemistry in designing and conducting multi step organic synthesis that is very much attractive from commercial aspects.
4. To Identifying and select API molecules based on developing non-infringing process for API molecules.
5. Support in transformations in synthetic organic chemistry aimed at target molecule from R&D scale to plant scale.
6. Conduct research and design experiments to develop and optimize synthetic routes for API molecules.
7. Perform literature searches for identified API molecules to determine synthesis routes, polymorphs, and analytical methods.
8. Conduct experimental trials to assess feasibility and optimize designed synthetic routes for API molecules.
9. Strongly self-motivated, believing in team work and efficient problem solver, having good skills for development of subordinate potentials.
10. Exhibit Good Laboratory Practice.
11. Efficient handling of High pressure, Hazardous, Highly moisture sensitive and other specialized reactions.
12. API- cost effective process development.
13. Impurity impact on process, identification & synthesis.
14. Development of new API molecules and technology transfer of the same.
Documentation:
*Record all experiments in the laboratory notebook (LNB) and maintain corresponding analytical data in organized folders
* Design synthetic routes for the synthesis and isolation of impurities and reference standards.
* Ensure all documentation meets Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards.
Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment in the laboratory.
• Develop non-infringing synthetic processes based on literature, raw material availability, and polymorph studies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory guidelines, and advancements in chemical synthesis and analytical techniques.
