Java Developer

Role Description

We are looking for a talented back-end developer who has strong fundamentals and can quickly learn new technologies needed to help build the next generation infrastructure. The candidate will help support the trading desks, build platforms that streamline business processes and open the door to new business opportunities.

Candidate does not need to have knowledge of Fixed Income but should demonstrate a desire and aptitude to learn the asset class. The current team is global, concentrated in Bangalore, Montreal and New York.

Years of Experience:

The candidate should have about 3 to 5 years of experience with hands on development in Java, SQL, Linux.
Work Location is Bangalore.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Core Java (OOP Concepts, Collections, Multi-threading, Exception Handling, Streams), and hands on experience in Spring framework.
• Knowledge and hands on experience of developing RESTful API development, deployed over Tomcat/Jetty/CXF is must.
• Experience in Advanced Java features like JDBC.
• Good development experience with RDBMS, preferably Sybase database
• Solid understanding of SQL concepts including Joins, Sub queries, Indexing and Database optimization
• Basic working knowledge of Linux commands is essential.
• Exposure to developing enterprise-scale n-tier applications is essential.
• Should have exposure to analyze, design, develop and test individual features of client-facing applications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, development tools like Git, JIRA and build tools.
• Strong written and oral communication skills. Should have the ability to express their design ideas and thoughts.
