Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, backend) to define and implement app features.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Follow best practices for Android development, including architectural patterns like MVVM or MVI.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and other backend services.
• Implement UI designs and ensure a smooth user experience.
• Debug and fix bugs reported by users or QA.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Android technologies and trends.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
• Mentor and guide junior developers.
• Take ownership of complex features and modules.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Deep understanding of Android SDK and its components.
• Expertise in using Android Studio and related development tools.
• Solid understanding of Android UI design principles and Material Design guidelines.
• Experience with modern Android frameworks and libraries (Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Room, Retrofit, etc.).
• Proficiency in making network requests, handling HTTP responses, and parsing JSON or XML data.
• Experience with various data storage options in Android (Shared Preferences, SQLite databases, Room).
• Knowledge of background tasks, services, and work managers.
• Familiarity with unit testing, UI testing, and integration testing frameworks.
• Strong debugging skills using Android Studio's debugging tools.
• Proficiency in using Git or other version control systems.
• Experience with architectural patterns like MVVM or MVI.
• Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks like Dagger or Hilt.
• Understanding of Android security best practices.
• Experience with publishing apps to the Google Play Store.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with custom UI elements and animations.
