Associate Director
Position Summary:
- The Associate Director - Fundraising & Partnerships will play a critical role in advancing the mission of the organisation by leading and implementing strategic fundraising initiatives.
- This role involves fostering strong relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders while aligning the fundraising strategy with organizational goals to ensure sustainability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy and Implementation:
- Understand the needs of programs and organizational goals to design and execute an effective and diversified fundraising strategy.
- Stay updated on donor trends, philanthropic opportunities, and best practices in fundraising.
- Lead the implementation of a comprehensive fundraising strategy through partnerships with
- CSR initiatives, High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), and both domestic and foreign foundations.
- Work closely with program teams to develop compelling concept notes and proposals tailored to various categories of funders.
- Drive donor acquisition and retention by nurturing leads and maintaining active communication with prospective and existing donors.
Building and Leveraging Relationships:
- Represent the organisation at forums, events, and meetings to establish and strengthen partnerships with donors and stakeholders.
- Deepen relationships with current donors to maximize support and strategically expand donor network.
Communications and Collateral:
- Enhance the current fundraising collateral, including pitch decks, ensuring alignment with the fundraising strategy and donor preferences.
- Develop and deliver a robust communication strategy to support grant applications, networking, and reporting.
- Collaborate with the communications team to align messaging across newsletters, media platforms, and the website to effectively highlight fundraising objectives.
Donor Management:
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of donor reports, meeting all reporting requirements and deadlines.
- Enhance donor engagement and satisfaction by working closely with program teams and stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes.
Leadership and Team Collaboration:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the fundraising team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including programs, communications, and operations, to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Business Administration, development Studies, or Social Work.
- Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in fundraising, donor management, or partnership development, preferably in the not-for-profit or education sector.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully securing and managing high-value partnerships and grants.
- Strong understanding of the CSR ecosystem, philanthropic landscape, and funding mechanisms.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and channels.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to lead, influence, analyze data, identify insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
