What you will do!
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Developer to join our SAP Event Mesh team within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). In this role, you will drive the design and development of scalable, cloud-native reusable services, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our multi-cloud, multi-tenant environments. You will collaborate closely with the SRE team and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, enhancement and support of cloud-native features and services.
- Collaborate with the SRE team to support and optimize our services on the cloud platform.
- Contribute hands-on to the creation of high-quality, scalable microservices architecture.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of our cloud solutions.
- Share your expertise with the team to elevate overall technical capabilities.
What You Bring
- 8-10 years of experience in distributed systems development using cloud-native tools and tech
- Strong background in Kubernetes, Docker, and Git
- Fluent programming ability using a programming language preferably Golang
- Experience developing end to end full-stack and backend applications, deployed on production
- Proficiency in at-least one UI technology (preferably UI5) and full-stack development
- Experience in using public cloud infrastructures like AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
- Experience in designing scalable, reusable services using microservices architecture
- Proficiency in messaging systems like Solace / Kafka / RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins
- Expertise and mindset to serve, support and solve customer tickets
- Work together with DevOps and SRE team to ensure product availability
- Strong sense if ownership mindset throughout the development lifecycle
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and exposure to AI/ML concepts is a plus
- A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality solution
