Production Supervisor

Roles and Responsibilities

• Production Management:
• Oversee the entire production process, from raw material issue to the final product.
• Plan and organize production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Ensure that production targets are met within budgetary constraints.
• In charge of a Production shift (20 to 25 manpower).
• Trouble shooting of process and operational issues on shop floor.
• Foreseeing performance bottlenecks and taking corrective measures to avoid the same.
• Quality Control:
• Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.
• Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to maintain high-quality levels.
• Team Leadership:
• Manage and supervise a team of production workers, providing clear direction and feedback.
• Set performance standards and conduct evaluations to ensure team efficiency.
• Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance team skills.
• Providing proper training to the operators and ensuring that they are able to meet the target by providing key productivity improvement systems.
• Capable of handling the operators and ensuring that a good relationship is created between the operators and the supervisors.
• Analysing the poor performers and making them provide improved output through proper training and guidance.
• Health and Safety:
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards.
• Develop and implement safety training programs for team members.
• Process Improvement:
• Controlling material issued to Production Line and minimizing wastage.
• Continuously monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement efficiency improvements to reduce costs and enhance output.
• Collaborate with other departments to synchronize production processes with overall operational goals.
• Communication:
• Act as a key point of communication between the production floor and upper management.
• Provide regular reports on production status, challenges, and achievements.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and address any production-related issues.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Ensure the proper use and maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
• Schedule regular maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations.
• Stay updated with the latest industry technologies and practices to enhance production efficiency.

• Capable of speaking in Hindi, Tamil & English.
• Should have leadership skills to take the team forward confidently.
• Should have complete control over the Production supervision during his/her shift so that they are able to ensure the right output from the operators.
• Any graduate BE/Diploma (mechanical, mechatronics, automotive) are preferred.
• Windows 11 & Microsoft Office Tools (Excel)
