Production Manager

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Resource Management:

• Coordinate with other departments to effectively allocate resources (materials, machinery, and manpower) for maximum productivity.
• Manage inventory levels to avoid understocking or overstocking.
• Conduct worker meetings to ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Method Analysis:
• Determine the most suitable production methods for manufacturing goods and services.
• Optimize processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Quality Assurance:
• Maintain standard quality of products and services produced.
• Ensure compliance with safety measures during production.
• Monitor workers performance and address any quality-related issues.
• Timely Delivery:
• Oversee production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams for on-time delivery.
• Cost Management:
• Estimate costs and prepare budgets for production activities.
• Implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality.
• Workflow Organization:
• Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
• Streamline processes to minimize bottlenecks and maximize output.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Analyze equipment and workforce performance to identify areas for enhancement.
• Adopt new production techniques to increase efficiency.
• Integrate Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve process flow.
• Implement Industry 4.0 based cost effective systems.
• Work on implementing low cost automation concepts that will help improve productivity and help improve the quality of the end product.
• Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE):
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of production equipment.
• Calculate OEE metrics (availability, performance, and quality) to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Implement strategies to enhance equipment uptime and reduce downtime.
• Communication and Leadership:
• Facilitate effective communication within the company.
• Align production goals with organizational objectives.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Education:
• A bachelors/Diploma degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is typically preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) are advantageous.
• Experience:
• Several years of experience in production management, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Exposure to stamping processes and auto component manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Exposure to Paint Shop processes is advisable.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset for process optimization.
• Experience in Stamping Industry.
• Proficiency in production planning software and tools.
• MS Office Suite:
• Microsoft Excel: Proficient for data analysis and reporting.
• Microsoft PowerPoint: Ability to create effective presentations.
• SAP System Experience: Familiarity with SAP modules, especially SAP PP, for efficient production management.
