Production Incharge - Assembly

Production Management:

• Oversee daily assembly operations and ensure production targets are met.
• Allocate tasks and responsibilities to shift supervisors and operators.
• Monitor work-in-progress and resolve bottlenecks in the assembly process.
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.

Quality Assurance & Process Control:

• Ensure assembled components meet customer and internal quality standards.
• Coordinate with the Quality department to address defects and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct in-process inspections and ensure compliance with quality control measures.
• Support root cause analysis for non-conformances and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Workforce Management:

• Supervise shift supervisors and ensure effective workforce deployment.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of assembly team members.
• Provide training and guidance to operators for skill enhancement.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Equipment & Resource Management:

• Ensure proper functioning of assembly line tools, fixtures, and machines.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance team for timely preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Monitor material availability and coordinate with Stores/PPC to avoid production delays.

Process Improvement & Cost Control:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices such as 5S, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke.
• Optimize cycle time and manpower efficiency to control operational costs.

Coordination & Reporting:

• Work closely with the Production, Quality, and Logistics teams for smooth workflow.
• Maintain and update daily production reports, downtime records, and shift handover reports.
• Participate in daily production meetings and report key performance metrics.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years in an assembly function within an auto components manufacturing setup.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality standards (ISO/IATF 16949).
• Hands-on experience in handling plastic component assembly processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems for production tracking.
