Manager - Data & Analytics

The Management Reporting Group is responsible to drive the Sandoz management reporting strategy in close alignment with Group ERP, ensuring delivery of best-in-class solutions to Sandoz Group Management, allowing efficient analyses of the business performance.

Operationally, the Group must provide management reporting information (e.g. FCRS, SPMR) to BPA across Sandoz and support FRA to manage Core processes (month end close, BSR, Financial Compliance status reviews). The Group is responsible for managing performance reporting and forecasting tools.

The role of the Manager Data & Analytics will be to deliver insights into business processes using process and data mining and, BI technologies. He will have the responsibility to lead anomaly detection activities across financial processes highlighting associated operational issues, fraud and financial risks leveraging a vast set of internally generated data. Collaboration with external auditors in performing digital audit procedures is also expected.

• Ensure the operational conversion of the Finance strategic goals within a dedicated area of the business
• Perform Reporting and Analytics activities across supported tools in a timely and accurate manner, meeting all business timelines and information/analytic needs.
• Manage and operate the basic reporting processes for actuals and forecasts to agreed quality and fast close timeline.
• Manage and automate the provision of routine information to local users from SAP and BW, and perform super user responsibilities for Finance and Controlling modules in SAP.
• Supervise the development and maintenance of current reporting systems (SAP, BW, Excel); integrate other requirements and the changing needs of the organization so that processes to report actuals, budgets, latest estimates and mid-range plans are met cost effectively and responsively.
• Support stakeholder management and interactions with GPOs, Countries, GCCs, FRA LT, etc. in specific area of responsibility
• Cooperate with IT resources to maintain tools and systems
• Prepares ad-hoc and routine accounting / management information and quality financial analysis in order to support global and organization s requirements.
• Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt -Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)
• Ensure continuous system availability across all time zones through process optimization and teamwork.
• Cooperate on projects on management reports with emphasis on compliance and controls monitoring.
• Support FRA in providing timely reports to monitor Operational stability, internal controls and compliance (e.g.: SFCF Controls, process performance KPIs, Financial Controls and Compliance reviews, etc.)
• Operationalize robust standard processes supported by tools and systems, reflecting best practices, supported by a control framework
• Ensure high level of solution usability while meeting business requirements
• Provide ad-hoc key customer support including advice on accounting treatments

• CA/MBA (Finance) or Equivalent/University Degree ideally in accounting, finance or economics
• Minimum of 9 - 14 years working experience in performance management systems, financial reporting and analysis roles in a multinational organization
• Working experience with Process Mining Technology and in delivering Process Mining Projects (preferably leveraging SAP Signavio)
• Experience in Big Data, predictive analytics and process/data mining
• Understand Finance processes such as Order to cash, Source to Pay, Record to Report, etc.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
• Excellent analytical ability with experience of creation and discussion of financial performance KPIs
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with SAP BW, SAP BPC, Qlik, Alteryx is must
• Experience in advance excel and MS-Office applications is must
