We are seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to take ownership of key financial functions, including reconciliations, Management Information System (MIS) reporting, stock transfers, and accounts payable/receivables. The candidate will be instrumental in establishing robust corporate payment policies, structures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient financial operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial growth and stability of a high-growth start-up. Key Responsibilities:
Reconciliations: Oversee and ensure the accuracy of financial reconciliations across various accounts, including bank, vendor, and customer accounts.
MIS Reporting: Prepare and present timely and accurate management reports, providing insights into the company's financial performance and key metrics.
Stock Transfers: Manage and monitor the transfer of stock, ensuring proper accounting and reconciliation of stock movements.
Accounts Payable/Receivables: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Corporate Payment Policies & SOPs: Develop, implement, and maintain corporate payment policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Financial Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems, and controls.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Operations and Sales, to ensure alignment of financial processes with business needs.
Audits & Compliance: Assist in preparing for internal and external audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CA is a plus).
4+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, ideally in a start-up or fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and procedures.
Hands-on experience with financial software, ERP systems, and Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a rapidly changing environment.
