As a Channel Manager at Mahindra Mahindra Ltd, you will play a crucial role in monitoring new dealer performance, nurturing relationships with various types of dealers and distributors, and conducting performance reviews. Your responsibilities will also include implementing capability-building programs for non-performing dealers, planning and reviewing performance with index dealers, addressing critical issues through joint visits, and driving the effectiveness of HR system implementation. Additionally, you will work towards improving Long Term Partnership Index, Mahindra Sales System and Panchratna Yojna implementation, and dealer satisfaction levels through Dealer Council Meetings.
You will utilise your strategic business orientation, leadership through sustainability, customer focus, innovation, result orientation, human capital leverage, and passion for work competencies to successfully manage processes such as consumer insighting, liasoning, dealer appointment on-boarding, and key account management. Your role will also involve handling channel management, dealer relationship management, and working capital management to maximise dealer value proposition and channel strategy.
To excel in this role, a Bachelors degree in a relevant field is required. Additional certifications in sales, training, or related areas will be beneficial. A strong background in the tractor industry or related sectors will be advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel, and experience with CRM software is preferred to effectively manage dealer appointments, performance, and relationships.
The ideal candidate for the Channel Manager position should have at least 5 years of experience in sales, training, or tractor-related roles, with a proven track record of dealer performance management, channel strategy development, and key account handling. Experience working with a diverse dealer network, implementing dealer capability-building programmes, and conducting dealer satisfaction surveys will be highly valued. Strong analytical skills, data-driven decision-making abilities, and a solid understanding of channel dynamics are essential for success in this role.
Critical experience for this role includes hands-on experience with Mahindra Sales System, Panchratna Yojna implementation, and knowledge of dealer satisfaction indices. Previous involvement in conducting dealer council meetings, addressing critical issues through joint visits, and driving the implementation of action plans based on survey results will be advantageous. Proven success in improving dealer performance, implementing HR systems effectively, and managing dealer relationships with a focus on long-term partnership growth will set you up for success as a Channel Manager.
