• Cleaning: CSSD technicians clean surgical instruments, treatment trays, dressings, linen, and rubber goods
• Sterilization: CSSD technicians operate sterilization machines to sterilize surgical instruments and other hospital equipment
• Decontamination: CSSD technicians decontaminate medical devices to prevent the spread of disease
