Job Description


The Bid Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end bidding process for new projects and tenders in the government sector, municipal corporations, and PSUs. This role involves coordinating with various internal departments and external stakeholders to develop winning bids that meet client requirements and align with the company's strategic objectives. The Bid Manager is responsible for analyzing bid opportunities, formulating bid strategies, preparing bid documents, and ensuring timely submission. Additionally, the Bid Manager oversees the evaluation of bid responses, coordinates post-bid negotiations, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen understanding of business development and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities


Bid Strategy Development


  • Identify and evaluate bid opportunities that align with the company's strategic goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to understand client needs, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop effective bid strategies, pricing models, and win themes.
  • Create and maintain a bid plan, outlining key milestones and deliverables.

Bid Preparation


  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to gather the necessary information and inputs for bid responses.
  • Lead the development and writing of compelling bid documents, including proposals, technical responses, and commercial offers.
  • Ensure bid documents comply with client requirements, addressing all evaluation criteria and contractual obligations.

Bid Management


  • Establish and manage bid timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Monitor and track bid progress, providing regular updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and participate in bid review meetings to obtain necessary approvals.

Relationship Management


  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with business development and sales teams to leverage existing relationships and gather market intelligence.
  • Engage with client representatives and attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and conferences.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Conduct post-bid debriefs and analyses to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Desired Background


  • Graduate, Engineering, business management or related discipline.
  • Relevant experience of 5+ years in End-to-End Bid Management
