Job Description Business Development (Bid Manager)

III. Reporting to: Head Business Development


Note: "Candidates with an IT services company background are preferred only."


IV. Job Description:
The incumbent would be responsible for tender & bidding related task as individual contributor role in Business Development department in IT services company. Key areas of overall responsibility with effective management of below mentioned functions:


Bid Coordination and Management:
. Lead and manage the entire bid process from initiation to submission.
. Develop and maintain a comprehensive bid plan, timeline, and task assignments.
. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including technical, commercial, and
legal teams.
Content Development:
. Draft, review, and edit proposal content to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment
with client needs.
. Tailor bid documents to highlight company strengths and competitive advantages. Compliance and Risk Assessment:
. Ensure bids meet all client requirements and comply with relevant regulations.
. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the proposal.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
. Work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to gather input and validate
solutions.
. Facilitate regular meetings to track progress and resolve issues. Quality Assurance:
. Review and proofread all documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and
professionalism.
. Ensure the bid is visually appealing and formatted according to client specifications. Post-Bid Activities:
. Conduct debriefs to capture lessons learned and improve future bids.
. Maintain a repository of templates, case studies, and reusable content.

(C) Profile Qualification


I. Academic / Professional Qualifications

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline from reputed institutions.
    • Exposure to IT / Geospatial services will be added advantages

II. Post Qualification Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in IT / Geospatial Development & Services Industry.
    • Working experience in business bidding related to Govt tenders, lead generation etc.
    • Similar past working experience in geospatial company will be added advantages.

III. Skills / Competencies:

  • Good Understanding to Bidding / Lead generation process.
    • Good communication and inter-personal skills
    • Quick grasping ability / Quick learner
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel & Power Point
    • Planning, organizing and result-orientation
    • Customer service orientation
