Extrusion Engineer

Location: Hyderabad

Our growing company is looking to fill the role of Extrusion Engineering position. The Extrusion Engineer provides process and technical expertise to help drive operational stability improvements and productivity in manufacturing process. The role champions the use of data driven, structured problem-solving and monitoring methods to resolve and prevent losses in operations. The role partners with product development teams, cross-functional teams and customers to deliver quality products in timely fashion. Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day extrusion schedules
• Supervise extrusion technicians
• Provide guidance to extrusion setup and extrusion process
• Extrusion pin and die designs for single lumen tubing and multi-lumen tubing
• Extrusion process troubleshooting
• Extrusion equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and design improvements
• Lot history records, inspection documents, equipment preventive maintenance, calibration, etc.
• Recommendations for process improvements, equipment purchase and material purchase
• Streamline order processing

Duties may subject to change as the business evolves.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in plastics engineering or polymer science or relevant coursework
• Prior experience in extruder setup and running plastic extrusions
• Prior experience in extrusion pin and die designing
• 3 to 5 years experience in medical tubing industry
• Ability to communicate in English
• Good computer skills
• Ability to use MS Office software Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawing
