Job Summary: -
We are seeking a skilled Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - SCADA to oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of SCADA systems in solar power plants. The ideal candidate should have expertise in SCADA software, industrial automation, communication protocols, data integration, networking, cyber security, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless operation, data integrity, and efficiency of the solar power plant.

Key Responsibilities:
SCADA System Configuration & Implementation:

• Configure and implement SCADA systems for solar power plants, ensuring reliable automation, data acquisition, and remote monitoring.
• Develop, modify, and test SCADA software applications and scripts to integrate with various hardware and software platforms.
• Integrate new sensors, devices, and equipment into existing SCADA systems, ensuring seamless data collection and control.
• Modify and update SCADA display interfaces using Display Builder and Automation Builder as per system requirements.
• Configure alarms, trends, and reports for efficient plant monitoring and diagnostics.
• Validate SCADA data for various providers like Rhythm Automation, Adaptive Continuously monitor, analyze, and improve the performance and reliability of SCADA systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA-related issues, communication failures, and system malfunctions.
• Perform routine inspections, software updates, and system optimizations.
• Ensure proper integration and communication between SCADA, inverters, Multi-Function Meters (MFM), weather stations, and other field devices.

Communication & Data Integration:

• Implemented and maintained OPC DA/UA, Modbus, MQTT, FTP, and other industrial communication protocols.
• Configure data push mechanisms to the cloud using FTP, MQTT scripts, and telemetry solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration of SCADA with forecasting systems, remote monitoring platforms, and central data repositories.
• Address mapping and parameter mapping as required by SLDC for telemetry communication.
• Configure IP networking, firewall rules, and internet integration for secure plant data access.
• Manage network connectivity and data communication setups through ILL-managed/unmanaged lines, MPLS, VSAT, and other communication channels.
• Configure plant and SLDC-end IPs for secure and optimized telemetry communication.

System Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure that SCADA systems comply with industry standards, cybersecurity guidelines, and safety regulations.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation including system architecture, configuration details, troubleshooting logs, and operational reports.
• Provide technical training and support to operations, maintenance, and IT teams on SCADA functionalities.

Required Experience: 2-8 years of experience in SCADA systems/telemetry, preferably in the solar power or renewable energy sector.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related any field.
• Experience: 2-8 years of experience in SCADA systems, preferably in the solar power or renewable energy sector.
• SCADA Expertise: Hands-on experience with Rhytham Automation, Adaptive Automation, ABB SCADA, Schneider, Phoenix (Visu Plus), GE.
• Industrial Communication Protocols: Strong understanding of Modbus, OPC DA/UA, DNP3, MQTT, FTP, Telemetry.
• Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and SCADA scripting languages.
• Automation Systems: Experience with PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and industrial automation hardware.
• Data Integration: Knowledge of data logging, real-time analytics, and cloud integration.
• Networking & Security:
• Experience in Internet integration with the plant through firewall and IP configuration for plant and SLDC-end.
• Expertise in ILL managed/unmanaged lines, MPLS, VSAT data communication setup.
• Understanding of network security, firewall configuration, and cyber security protocols.
• Display & Logic Development: Hands-on experience with SCADA Display Builder, Automation Builder, and control logic development.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve SCADA-related issues.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities.
• Experience in power plant SCADA telemetry setup and validation for SLDC compliance.
• Familiarity with cloud-based SCADA platforms and cyber security best practices.
• Knowledge of forecasting data integration with SCADA systems.
• Ability to develop SCADA dashboards and reports for real-time data visualization.
