Saarthee - Senior ETL Engineer - SQL/Python (6-8 yrs)

Position Summary :

We are seeking a Senior ETL/Data Engineer with 6 to 8 years of experience in data warehousing and ETL development. This role requires hands-on expertise with Ab Initio, Snowflake, Oracle, MySQL, and Bash to support and enhance our AWS-based ETL platform. You will be part of the SIE PSS team, working on our next-generation data warehouse platform, ensuring scalability, availability, and high performance.

Key Responsibilities :

ETL & Data Warehouse Expertise :

- Strong understanding of ETL architecture and development, preferably using Ab Initio (Informatica experience is also considered).

- Expertise in Data Warehouse concepts and architecture.

- Proficiency in SQL (Snowflake, Oracle, MySQL).

- Experience with Snowflake Warehouse (bonus : Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streamlit).

- Hands-on experience in operations support for the mentioned applications.

- Willingness to work in UK shift timings.

Programming & Development : Strong scripting skills in Unix, Python, and Bash.

Project & Collaboration :

- Work closely with developers and architects, advising on best practices and standards.

- Solid understanding of database architectures and data models.

- Maintain and create technical documentation.

- Collaborate actively with onshore teams.

- Exposure to working in an Agile development model.

Good to Have (Bonus Skills) :

- Knowledge of AWS Cloud (S3, Lambda Functions).

- Understanding of AWS data services such as EMT, Athena, Glue, Redshift, Python, and Tableau.

Educational Qualifications : BE/BTech/BSc/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
