Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled AWS Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud-based data engineering solutions, particularly using Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will work on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, and scalable data architectures to support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines using AWS services such as AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Redshift, and others.
- Develop, test, and deploy ETL workflows to transform and load data into data lakes and data warehouses.
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and availability.
- Collaborate on the design and architecture of big data solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, Kinesis, and Athena.
- Monitor and optimize data pipelines to ensure reliable, high-performance, and cost-efficient processing.
- Implement data security and governance best practices across data infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Automate routine data management tasks and build scalable infrastructure for handling growing datasets.
Key Skills & Qualifications :
- Hands on experience in data platform engineering with expertise in maintaining scalable data platforms
- Expertise in AWS cloud environment with distributed processing frameworkds (e.g.
- Apache Spark, Presto) and real time streaming (e.g. Kafka, Flink)
- Strong hands on SQL and Data Modeling experience.
- Experience working with Data Build Tool for data transformations and modelling.
- Experience with table formats like Hudi, Iceberg or Delta Lake.
- Proficiency in Python/Java for developing scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Cloud Data Engineer, or in a similar data-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, etc.).
- Expertise in ETL processes, data transformation, and pipeline orchestration.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
- Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and cloud-native architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and data processing for AI/ML models.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
