Qualifications:. Mechanical Engineering Degree: Possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles. At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design:
Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the field of mechanical design, showcasing a proven track record of successful projects. Advanced CAD Proficiency: Exhibit extensive expertise in using a variety of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, including but not limited to Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Revit, highlighting versatility and adaptability in design software. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Knowledge: Display familiarity with FEA principles and practical experience in conducting structural and thermal analyses to ensure the integrity and performance of mechanical designs.
Certifications: Hold relevant certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Inventor, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and mastery of the software. Project Management Skills: Demonstrate proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
Knowledge of Industry Standards: Stay abreast of industry standards and best practices related to mechanical design, ensuring that all designs comply with relevant regulations and guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:. Conceptualization and Design: Generate innovative and feasible mechanical design concepts based on project requirements, considering factors such as functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. 3D Modeling and Analysis: Utilize advanced skills in 3D modeling software, including Autodesk Inventor and other relevant tools, to create detailed and accurate representations of mechanical components and systems.
2D Drafting and Documentation: Create precise 2D drawings and detailed documentation using CAD software, ensuring clarity and adherence to industry standards. Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless collaboration throughout the design and development phases. Project Management: Manage and coordinate multiple design projects concurrently, adhering to timelines and budget constraints. BOM Creation: Develop accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for each design project, detailing components, materials, and quantities required for manufacturing and assembly. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction, and process improvement.
Prototyping and Testing Support: Collaborate with the prototyping and testing teams, providing necessary support during the fabrication and testing phases to validate design concepts and ensure functionality. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements. Technical Support: Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving design-related challenges, and offering guidance on design principles and best practices.
