Job Description
Design and Development:
Develop mechanical designs for transformer components, including tanks, cooling systems, bushings, and other structural parts.
Create detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD software (e.g., Creo, Auto Cad or similar).
Analysis and Calculations:
Perform thermal, structural, and vibration analysis to ensure designs meet operational and safety requirements.
Calculate mechanical stresses, tolerances, and clearances to ensure robustness.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure designs comply with international standards such as IEC, ANSI, or equivalent.
Conduct design validation and ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, bill of materials (BOM), and test specifications.
Support production and quality teams with design-related insights and troubleshooting.
Collaboration:
Work with electrical design teams to ensure alignment between electrical and mechanical aspects of transformers.
Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams for prototype development and mass production.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and performance.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and materials in transformer mechanical design.

Bachelor s / B-Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering
3-12 years of experience in design of Core Frame Connection (Internals) of power transformers.
