Position: Editor/ Senior Editor ELT

Department: Madhubun Editorial - ELT

Location: Noida

Job aim: To prepare error free and quality books ensuring contents quality within set deadlines. To review & assess the project for pedagogical value, identification of third party content, cost, formatting/ layout and design specifics.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Copy-edit, proofread and review subject content, check language and facts
• Check content and raise queries with author.
• Check if the content matches with the age group and the class level.
• Create quality products maintaining consistency and accuracy of text.
• Enhance content through value addition
• Format chapters with typesetters.
• Create content to fill in gaps in text.
• Create interactive exercises and activities to support learning outcomes.
• Check for potential legal/copyright problems.
• Liaise with typesetters, artists and other team members.
• Liaise with the Managing Editor and meet the deadlines under his/her supervision.

Essential requirements:

• The candidate should have a Master’s degree in English/Post Graduate.
• A Minimum of 5-7 Years of experience in the publishing industry.
• Should process good knowledge of K-12 segment in English & pedagogical.
• Teaching experience will be an added advantage.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Should have creative writing skills.
• Should have an excellent grasp of the English language, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Should have an eye for the details.
• E-learning experience is required.
