Role & responsibilities
The Sales Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth, maximizing profitability, and overseeing the overall sales strategy in the food sector. This leader will build and manage a high-performing sales team, develop strategic partnerships, and ensure the alignment of sales goals with the companys broader objectives. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in FMCG sales, a deep understanding of the Food market, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
1.
Sales Strategy & Planning
o
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with business goals and market trends.
o
Conduct market research to identify new growth opportunities, product trends, and competitive positioning.
o
Set sales targets and KPIs for regional and national teams, tracking performance to ensure target achievement.
2.
Team Leadership & Development
o
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales managers and representatives to drive individual and team performance.
o
Foster a results-driven and customer-centric culture within the team.
o
Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent while promoting continuous training and development.
3.
Business Development & Account Management
o
Establish strong relationships with key accounts, dealerships, and partners to maximize sales channels.
o
Identify potential partners, negotiate contracts, and expand the companys network in the automotive sector.
o
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, finance, operations) to support sales efforts.

Revenue & Profitability
o
Drive revenue growth by exploring innovative sales techniques, pricing strategies, and customer acquisition methods.
o
Monitor and analyze sales metrics, adjusting plans as necessary to achieve profitability targets.
o
Implement performance-driven incentives to motivate the sales team.

Market & Competitor Analysis
o
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer preferences.
o
Conduct competitor analysis to inform sales strategies and adjust positioning as needed.
o
Provide feedback to the product development team on customer insights and market needs.
6.
Reporting & Performance Measurement
o
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for executive management.
o
Use data-driven insights to measure success, optimize processes, and drive decision-making.
o
Present performance updates to stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations.
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the automotive industry.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, ideally with experience managing national or regional teams.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Portuguese language preferred
