International Logistics Manager - Pharmaceuticals

Job Description

• Oversee efficient Ocean/air shipping of pharmaceutical products.
• Liaise with CHAs (Customs House Agents), Freight Forwarders, and Transporters.
• Negotiate prices to reduce logistics costs and obtain the most competitive air/sea freight rates for each shipment.
• Plan the most expeditious routing and track all shipments.
• Ensure satisfactory documentation for timely Customs and ADC clearance.
• Prepare accurate shipping documentation.
• Liaise with banks for export documents.
• Manage transportation between manufacturing plants, warehouses and CHAs.
• Liaise to claim export benefits like RoDTEP.
• Handle freight claims and complaints.
• Manage the import process of some goods from China.
• Anticipate and resolve day-to-day issues, complete failure root cause analysis, and take corrective actions.
• Develop and implement global transportation cost-saving programs for year-over-year savings.

Requirements

• Must have 5-10 years of experience in logistics for pharmaceutical exports.
• Knowledge of end-to-end logistics operations (including air/ocean, over-the-road transportation, customs and warehousing) with cross-country shipments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have strong Excel skills. Experience working in Microsoft Teams will be an added advantage.
• Self-motivated and able to handle all logistics functions independently
