Department Head / Technical Architect - .Net

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Department Head .NET Technology to lead our .NET team with a focus on resource management, productivity enhancement, and technical growth. The role is primarily internal-facing and emphasizes team management, technology upgradation, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Team and Resource Management:

• Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources within the .NET department to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Monitor team productivity and implement strategies to enhance performance metrics.
• Identify and address skill gaps within the team by planning upskilling and reskilling initiatives.

Performance Management:

• Conduct regular performance reviews to evaluate individual and team contributions against established KPIs.
• Provide constructive feedback and coaching to help team members achieve their performance goals.
• Drive the annual appraisal process, ensuring fairness and alignment with organizational standards.
• Address underperformance through structured improvement plans and, if necessary, execute appropriate exit actions for non-performers in consultation with HR.

Technology Leadership and Innovation:

• Drive the adoption of emerging .NET technologies and best practices within the team.
• Ensure the team stays updated with industry trends and integrates modern tools and frameworks into project workflows.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align technology strategies with organizational goals.

Training and Development:

• Plan and execute training programs to enhance the technical proficiency of team members.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Act as a mentor to guide the career growth of team members.

Operational Management:

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Drive process improvements to enhance team efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
• Ensure adherence to organizational standards and compliance with development methodologies.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for internal departments regarding .NET-related initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance to other teams when required.
• Prepare and present periodic reports on team performance, resource allocation, and technical advancements to senior management.

Key Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in .NET technologies, including .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, and associated frameworks.
• In-depth understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is a plus.

Leadership Skills:

• Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in .NET technology with 5+ years in a leadership or management role.
