Senior BI and Data Analyst

An exciting opportunity to join an expanding Business Intelligence Team and contribute towards intelligence-led change and innovation.

The BI and data product analyst will contribute to delivering an effective and high-quality Business Intelligence and Reporting service to RWSs external and internal customers. The Analyst will help the business to leverage the data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential issues. They will be able to build relationships, gather requirements, manage stakeholders and schedule data projects.

Responsibilities

• Leverage stakeholder relationships to understand business challenges and collaboratively define and document precise business requirements for specific projects
• Influence major business decisions based on advanced statistical analysis of all known data information to allocate resources, improve efficiencies, and support business operations of all departments.
• Manage multiple projects to completion
• Design, develop, model, and create SQL data structures to integrate, prepare, and generate reports
• Develop and build dashboards and visualizations in Sisense, Power BI or similar BI tools
• Work with the Business to ensure they can utilize project output for data driven decisions
• Breakdown requirements, simplify architectures, and collaborate with other business teams to deliver intelligent data solutions in line with defined objectives and results
• Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content
• Mine and analyze large datasets, draw valid inferences, and present them successfully to the business

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, finance, statistics, engineering, MBA or related fields.
• Excellent English communication skills, with experience of collaborating closely with stakeholders.
• Proven experience (at least 5 years) in a similar role as a Data Analyst.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Sisense, Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects etc)
• Skilled, with a good working knowledge in T-SQL.
• Critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a forward-thinking approach to anticipate potential risks. Ability to perform rapid root cause analysis (RCA) for data issues and propose effective resolutions in a time-sensitive manner.
• Ability to present and explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
• Excel knowledge (functions, pivots, etc.)

Good to Have:

• Hands-on experience in project management or Project Management Certifications
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of the Azure infrastructure
• Experience with Python.
