Delphi Developer

As part of the Development team, the successful applicant will assume responsibility for designing and delivering solutions in Delphi Alexandria. The role will be primarily focused on developing front-end features and enhancements for the development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver enhancements and bug fixes for reported issues, customer requests and product roadmaps
• Maintain a high standard in front-end Desktop development using Delphi Alexandria RemObject, SQL Server and associated technologies
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Technical Leads to learn and contribute to existing products in a full-stack capacity
• Produce accurate and well-written software design documents and proposals, including task breakdowns and estimates
• Display a strong attention to detail and maintain a high delivery bandwidth under limited direction

Duties & Accountabilities

• Report to and take direction from Product Owners and Technical Leads
• Ensure that development best practices, documentation and coding standards are followed and enhanced where possible
• Set an exemplary standard for junior colleagues to follow

   Supervisory Responsibilities

• Assist and mentor junior colleagues, establishing and monitoring best practices

Additional Responsibilities

• Comply with agreed methodology, standards, policies and procedures to produce a consistently high standard of documentation, and ensure strong governance, sharing knowledge and providing feedback and ideas so that performance is continually improved
• Attending regular stand-up meetings for projects and ensuring the status and progress on all current work is always kept updated and communicated

Skills & Experience

• Expert knowledge of Delphi Alexandria with a focus on front end and back-end development
• Masters degree in computer science or comparable qualification
• Very good knowledge of SQL Server
• Very good knowledge of RemObject
• Very good knowledge of developing and consuming REST APIs
• Good knowledge of security
• Good knowledge of relational databases
