Job Description
RVS iGlobal is currently looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to support the growing demand of tech support queries coming on to our Network Operations Centre in Jammu. As a Senior Linux Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of our high-end customer systems based on clustering and virtualization. Our environment consists of a mix of Linux systems, MariaDB/MySQL databases, VMware virtualization and various application servers such as Apache, Nginx, PHP-FPM and Java. In addition, we use clustering services based on HAProxy and NFS storage clustering.

Requirements
- Graduate-level degree experience and thinking level.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in ICT.
- You are certified and/or have demonstrable experience with Linux, Ubuntu or CentOS.
- You have knowledge and experience in the field of Linux clustering and load-balancing, such as: HAproxy and NFS systems.
- You have knowledge and experience in automating tasks using Ansibl.
- You have experience with a wide range of monitoring solutions and methodologies, such as: Nagios/Icinga, LibreNMS and Observium.
- Youre well acquainted with popular web servers like Apache and NGINX.
- You have good knowledge of infrastructure, firewalls, switches and routing.
- During your daily work, you have an eye for security and safe working.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- A person with 5 years of experience in Linux Administration.
- Should be ready to work in a 24/7 work environment.
- Excellent communication skills to communicate with international clients.
- Good probing skills & Analytical skills would be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Above average knowledge of network tools LAN & WAN.
