Intern Fashion Designer:

Job Description

House of Aham  is looking for a Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team.  As a Fashion Design Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry, working closely with our design team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in sketching and illustrating design concepts for upcoming collections.
• Support the design team in fabric sourcing and selection.
• Help with pattern making, draping, and sample preparation.
• Conduct research on current trends, color forecasts, and materials.
• Assist in the creation of technical design specifications.
• Participate in fittings and make notes on adjustments required for sample garments.
• Organize and maintain fabric swatches, trims, and design boards.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as coordinating with suppliers and managing design documents.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure that deadlines and production timelines are met.
• Help prepare presentations for design reviews and meetings.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric types.
• Strong attention to detail and creativity.
• Good understanding of current fashion trends and the fashion industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Prior internship or experience in a fashion design role is a plus (but not required).
