Fashion Designer

Job Description

As an experienced Fashion Designer, you will lead the design process from concept to final product.You will also mentor junior designers and ensure high standards of creativity, technical execution, and production quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing design process from conception through to final styling.
• Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.
• Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts.
• Ensuring product is in agreement with business strategy.
• Selecting fabrics and trims.
• Creating production sketches for development packages.
• Collaborating with technical designer to ensure development packages are accurate.
• Reviewing product for style and fit during presentation.
• Presenting story, mood, color boards, and samples to buyers.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-6 years in fashion design, preferably in [luxury/ready-to-wear/ womenswear/ menswear] fashion.
• Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Strong knowledge of design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, etc.).
• In-depth understanding of garment construction, pattern making, fabric types, and production processes.
• Proven experience managing and mentoring design teams or junior designers.
• Strong ability to create innovative, trend-forward designs while staying true to the brands aesthetic.
• Excellent eye for quality and design execution at every stage of production.
• Ability to communicate design ideas clearly with teams, clients, and suppliers.
• Experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
