CA - Manager - Accounts (Media Industry)

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & MIS: Prepare and analyze monthly MIS reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

2. Taxation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all direct and indirect tax laws, including TDS, GST filings, and annual returns. Handle tax assessments and audits.

3. Book Closure: Oversee month-end and year-end book closure activities, ensuring accuracy in financial statements and adherence to accounting standards.

4. Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of balance sheets and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.

5. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.

6. Audit & Internal Controls: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits and compliance with regulatory requirements.

7. Team Management: Mentor junior accountants and support the finance team in achieving overall departmental goals.

Qualifications: -

1. Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent.

2. Mandatory experience in media industry.

3. 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in a Big 4 firm or a large, reputed company.

4. In-depth knowledge of Taxation (Direct & Indirect), TDS, and GST.

5. Proficiency in MIS reporting, financial analysis, and book closure.

6. Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally) and MS Excel.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

10. Self-starter with a proactive approach to managing responsibilities.
