Candidate must have knowledge and experience in Aluminum Castings (PDC), Forging, Machining, Rubber seals Sheetmetal, fabrications, small stamping parts,painting,powder coating,plating,heat treatment, preferred industry: Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier. Requires strong analytical and evaluation skills relative to quality standards and customer requirements. Knowledge of IATF 16949, Knowledge in customer specific quality references like VDA, QSB is a plus. Excellent organization and interpersonal skills. Must be self-motivated, self-directed and able to multi-task. Duties Responsibilities 1. Supplier Quality Management: - Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers. - Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance. - Conduct supplier audits and assessments. 2. Quality Assurance: - Implement and oversee quality control processes. - Monitor and address quality issues and non-conformities from suppliers. - Work with suppliers to drive corrective and preventive actions. 3. Quality Tools and Methodologies: - APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning):Lead the development and implementation of APQP processes to ensure that new products meet customer requirements. - PPAP (Production Part Approval Process):Ensure suppliers provide required documentation and evidence to demonstrate that production parts meet all specifications and requirements. - FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis):Collaborate with suppliers to perform FMEA to identify potential failure modes and implement controls. - SPC (Statistical Process Control):Use SPC to monitor and control supplier processes and ensure they are stable and capable. - Control Plans:Develop and review control plans to ensure consistent quality of products from suppliers. - Root Cause Analysis:Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and work with suppliers to address them effectively. 4. Continuous Improvement: - Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers. - Use lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and reduce waste. 5. Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain accurate records of supplier performance and quality metrics. - Prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders. 6. Compliance and Standards: - Ensure supplier processes comply with industry standards and regulations. - Stay updated on relevant quality standards and regulations. Responsible to coordinate the APQP process for critical suppliers. 7.Define, follow-up and monitor all possible risks at our suppliers during each phase of the project. 8.Define the supplier quality deliverables for the suppliers taking the key milestones into consideration. 9.Responsible to discuss the PPAP requirements with the suppliers. 10.Assess measurement reports coming from internal and external parties. 11.Sign supplier PSWs when all requirements are fulfilled. 12.Participate in design reviews, DFM sessions and ECR meetings. 13.Support suppliers if necessary and make sure that the quality standards are in place. for capacity analysis, PPAP and the process audits. 15.Initiate and follow-up Quality Wall activities at suppliers. 16.Monitor supplier performance in each project phase and running production (after SOP) and drive supplier to improve in case of deviations. 17.Communicate suppliers part current quality issues and closure of quality issue within timeline. 18.Monitor the suppliers quality performance and take the actions for improvement.
