Mep Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Engineer to join our apartment construction company. As a Senior MEP Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the MEP systems in our construction projects, from design and installation to testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the MEP design process, including developing design drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules

• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that MEP systems are integrated with the overall building design

• Review and approve MEP shop drawings and submittals from contractors and subcontractors

• Manage MEP contractors and subcontractors to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards of quality

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address issues or concerns related to MEP systems

• Develop and implement testing and commissioning plans for MEP systems to ensure that they are operating as intended

• Provide technical support and guidance to project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders on MEP issues

• Manage MEP project budgets and schedules

• Ensure that all necessary permits, licenses, and inspections are obtained and completed

• Provide regular progress updates to clients and senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field

• At least 10 years of experience in MEP design and construction, with a focus on apartment or multi-family

construction

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software

• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to MEP systems

• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
