Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented HR Generalist cum Recruiter to join our growing team at a leading high-rise construction company at Padur, Kelambakkam.


This role will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, employee relations and HR administration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire recruitment process, from job posting and sourcing to interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Utilize various channels (e.g., job boards, social media, employee referrals) to attract qualified candidates.
  • Assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and suitability for construction roles.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews with hiring managers.
  • Coordinate pre-employment checks, prepare offer letters, and conduct new hire orientations.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints, conflicts, and disciplinary issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and prepare reports.
  • Advise management on employee relations matters.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of employee engagement programs.
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs.
  • Conduct training sessions on safety, compliance, and other relevant topics.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops and seminars.
  • Track employee training and development activities.
  • Maintain employee records and personnel files.
  • Process employee changes (e.g., promotions, transfers, terminations).
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs.
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, with a strong background in recruitment, employee relations, and training & development.
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations applicable to the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, ATS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in construction.
