Principal Engineer - Java

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex and critical backend systems using Java and related technologies.

- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers.

- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure code quality and best practices.

- Work closely with architects and product managers to define system architecture and technical roadmaps.

- Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve development efficiency and system performance.

- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.

- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of backend systems.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Java, backend technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field . Professional experience in Java software development.

- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.

- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and data structures.

- Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.

- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a strong plus.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.

- Passion for technology and a strong desire to learn and grow.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code).

- Contributions to open-source projects.
