Senior Service Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Installation & Setup:
• Lead the installation of machinery and equipment as per the project plan and technical drawings.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders for efficient site preparation and equipment setup.
• Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and client specifications.
• Knowledge of reading different types of Engineering Drawings i.e., Single Line Diagram (SLD), control circuit diagram, pneumatic circuit diagram, cable schedule, P & IDs, Layout etc.
• Proactively coordinating, procuring, and inspecting materials, parts, and

equipment, guaranteeing their availability and quality for service activities.

• Commissioning & Testing:
• Perform commissioning activities, including functionality tests, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Ensure equipment is operating within the specified parameters and meets safety and performance standards.
• Address any issues during the commissioning phase and propose corrective actions.
• Perform commissioning of hydraulic power pack and vacuum pump.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Prepare detailed reports on installation and commissioning activities, including daily logs, testing protocols, and calibration results.
• Document any deviations from the standard process and report them to the Service manager.
• Provide technical documentation, such as as-built drawings and user manuals, to clients post-commissioning.
• Client Interaction:
• Serve as the primary point of contact with clients during installation and commissioning phases.
• Provide on-site training and technical support to clients teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Address client concerns and offer solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintenance & Support:
• Provide post-installation technical support for troubleshooting and maintenance, as required.
• Assist in periodic inspections and servicing of installed equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors for warranty services and repairs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client management.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to client sites, including overseas, as required.
• Good time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards related to machinery installation.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies is an advantage.
