The Position Senior Data Scientist (NLP)

As a Senior Data Scientist (NLP) you will be responsible for delivering high quality outcomes by applying the right fit-for purpose solutions in collaboration with other stakeholders and team members within the same business line.

Your Opportunity

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be expected to

• Integrate and apply state-of-the-art language processing models and algorithms to extract insights from large volumes of text data

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using NLP techniques

• Mentor and guide other chapter members, providing technical support and expertise

• Present findings and insights to stakeholders through clear, concise, and compelling reports and presentations, communicate ideas for team Analytics Automation and willingly receive feedback for self-improvement

• Create and manage documentation for different data science / data engineering projects

• Collaborate in an agile and cross-functional team with other Data Scientists, Automation experts as well as business experts, so our Roche peers and patients will receive AMAZING solutions

Who You Are

• You have a Bachelor s Degree (Masters is a plus) in mathematics, computer science, statistics, engineering, or information science

• You have at least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a multicultural environment with global processes (Commercial, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, IT)

• You have 2 years of professional work experience in:

  • Utilizing machine learning frameworks and libraries to build, train, and deploy NLP models (LLM experience is a plus), and

  • Integrating your solution within AWS and/or GCP and leveraging services provided by AWS and/or GCP

• You are a strong team player with interpersonal skills and strong collaborative and solution-focused mindset

• You possess strong communication, networking skills, you are someone who enjoys working with others and acts as a team player

• You want to contribute to solving business problems, taking on what tasks are necessary to make valuable solutions come to life

• You have extensive experience with stakeholder management

• English is a must, additional languages are a plus
