RMSI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager. The manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of technical projects, focusing on GIS, C#, .NET Core, and Cloud Services. The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and stakeholders, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Role

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Manage project execution and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project success.
• Conduct regular status meetings with the project team and stakeholders to provide updates.

2. Solution Development and Problem Solving:

• Design and develop cost-effective GIS solutions tailored to business requirements.
• Analyze complex geospatial problems and provide immediate resolutions aligned with project goals.

3. Risk, Quality, and Change Management:

• Oversee risk management, change control, and quality assurance activities throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensure adherence to GIS mapping principles, spatial data analysis standards, and data modeling guidelines.

4. Technical Leadership:

• Translate stakeholder requirements into architectural solutions and system designs.
• Utilize industry best practices, tools, and standards throughout project execution
• Possess strong technical knowledge and expertise in C# and .NET Core.
• Familiarity with Azure Services and cloud-based solutions.

5. Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders effectively.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their satisfaction with project outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose innovative solutions.

6. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the QA team to develop test plans and ensure comprehensive testing.
• Perform regular quality checks to validate deliverables against requirements.

7. Team Coordination and Communication:

• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and testers.
• Foster a collaborative work environment and promote effective communication.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure team members have the necessary resources.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth.

Qualifications

Key Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• B.Tech/M.Tech/MBA/Masters Degree in Computers, GIS, Geographic Sciences, IT, or a related field from a reputed university.

Experience:

• 810 years of project management experience in GIS or related fields.

• Proven working experience in forestry, land management, and sustainability is preferable.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in software development and web technologies (.NET 4.0+, MVC/WCF/Web API).

• Hands-on experience with GIS applications such as ArcGIS or Geoserver.

• Strong working knowledge of MS-SQL Server (queries, functions, stored procedures).

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other public cloud services.

Project Management Expertise:

• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification preferred.

• Proficient in project management tools such as Jira and MS Projects.

• Sound understanding of GIS mapping principles and strategic implementation planning.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.

• Ability to manage and drive multiple projects simultaneously.
