Deputy General Manager-(Social and community Vulnerability Expert)

Position : Deputy General Manager/General Manager

Education:

Postgraduate in Disaster Management or any relevant field or

PhD in Geography/Social Science focusing on Disaster Management

Experience

At least 20 years experience in the field of Disaster/ Climate Risk Management and experience of managing Multi-later agency funded projects. Experience in the following subjects is required:

• Technical leadership and project management
• Social vulnerability analysis
• Community needs assessment through participatory process in the study area
• Developing community-based village level disaster management and climate change resilience plan
• Identification of disaster risk mitigation options and suggesting mitigation options with feasibility level cost estimates
• Stakeholder consultation, data collection for hazard modelling and exposure data development
• Climate change social impact assessment and adaptation planning
• Training and capacity building of government officials
• Analysis institutional capacity and develop investment program
• Development of comprehensive disaster and vulnerability risk profiles
• Design training and capacity building for community and govt. stakeholders of various administrative level on preparedness and risk resilience
• Preparation of community outreach materials including IEC products.
• Benefit-cost-analysis of DRR options and develop priority matrix;
• Preparation of State Disaster Management Plan through consultation and participation of various stakeholders
