Principal Analyst - Credit Opportunities

Location: Hyderabad, Gurugram, Bengaluru

Overview:

- We are seeking driven and detail-oriented professionals to join our Financial Research group.

- This role will involve working closely with front office teams to provide in-depth support for the investment research and decision-making processes related to global proprietary trading strategies.

- You will be responsible for conducting fundamental credit analysis on corporate bond and loan issuers across various geographies, with the goal of defining the credit risk of these companies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain comprehensive financial models, including company financials, KPIs, capital structure, valuation, operational metrics, and peer group comparisons.

- Monitor industry-level data, track company-specific developments, and assess their impact on credit quality.

- Provide credit opinions and collaborate with front office analysts to assess corporate credit risks.

- Regularly iterate on financial models based on ongoing developments, and ensure timely updates to analysis.

- Track earnings reports and other material developments for companies under coverage.

- Contribute to ad hoc projects, including compiling data, creating relative value tables, and other related tasks.

- Over time, expand responsibilities to include industry coverage and provide due diligence insights to support front office teams.

Qualifications:

- A Master's degree in finance or CFA designation, along with over 5 years of relevant experience in corporate credit analysis.

- Strong understanding of corporate credit analysis, with the ability to evaluate financial health, capital structure, and credit risks.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly and concisely.

- Exposure to high-yield, stressed, and distressed credits will be considered a significant advantage.
